Friday's Fabulous Find

Hello friends, I'd like to tell all of you about a wonderful new item I bought for the kitties, it's from Etsy of course where I find so many lovely handmade things!  This is the Bright Night 10' ceramic fountain from Thirsty Cat Fountains

My boys love drinking from fountains and I have had several that they liked, but I did not.  The fountains I had used in the past were plastic or stainless steel and I found that after about a year they just did not come clean anymore no matter how hard I scrubbed!  I wanted to try a ceramic fountain and had this shop in my favourites for quite a while. I was always a little put off by the high cost of shipping to Canada but the fountains are so gorgeous I checked in every now and again to see what was available.

I must confess that I no longer begrudge the cost of shipping because this package arrived safely and swiftly in just four days!!!

With clear, easy to follow assembly and care instructions (there is also a youtube video) and all the components in tact.  I washed the fountain and put it together in about one minute and it was ready for cat use.

The starburst mound in the centre hides the pump and the scallop shell that you see in the left part of the fountain conceals where the pump cord exits the feedthrough.

It is both beautiful and practical.  My boys and I loved it immediately!!!

That looks like a wonderful fountain. I'm going to look at it on-line; I'd like to get a fountain that mine will drink from.

That is so pretty! I never considered that some might be available on easy--that's a great idea.

It's gorgeous and now I'm tempted to get one since my kids are also using one of thos plastic ones.

Where did you say you ordered it from - I'm in Toronto so I'd be interested to know the shipping $

That sure looks like such a nice fountain. You sure are lucky cats to have such a good Mom to find that for you. Take care.

It's gorgeous! I cringe at the shipping costs to Canada as well, and that does deter me from buying via on-line stores. That fountain looks like it was worth it, though!

That does look beautiful! Our mom complains about our stainless steel one all the time and now, we have something new to show her! Purrs...

This looks amazing--so pretty and useful!
Oscar is forever meowing for me to turn on the bathroom water tap.
Hmmm....perhaps I can persuade myself that this would be a necessity purchase!
Your boys are sure lucky =)

WooHoo the Fab Five have a fab Fountain. I'm so glad they took right to it too. Madi loves dropping milk rings off gallon milk jugs in hers then watching the ripples make it float.
Hugs Madi your bfff and Mom

Yay for new fountain for your boys! This looks very beautiful! I got the ceramic fountain from the same shop while back, too. I got green one and loved it! Only, my boys were not very interested... So after a while I put back the regular fountain.
I hope your boys will enjoy it a lot :-)

That's a very pretty fountain! We have had SO many fountains and they've all been ruined for one reason or another... including a ceramic one my human got on sale a couple of years ago. That one still has not been replaced. We have been drinking out of a small plastic cup for months. :-(

That's a very beautiful fountain, and even more importantly, all your boys love it! :)

We have a ceramic fountain here, too. Moosey likes it very much.

Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friends.

You could almost display that fountain on a coffee table as decoration.

How easy to tip over it is? Any idea? (or experience?)
